What is Yoga Therapy?

  • Yoga therapy is an individual approach to healing and growth. Sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs with the understanding that you are the expert of yourself. My role is to support you, offer tools and resources and facilitate your own expertise.

  • Yoga therapy recognizes the interconnectedness of the body and mind, and supports a conversation between the two that help them to work in concert versus competition.

  • The five pillars of my yoga therapy experiences are nervous system regulation, self-compassion, deep listening, somatic parts-work and deep imagery.

  • Through awareness practices, breathing techniques, gentle movement, and dialogue you will learn to listen with compassion to the wisdom of your body, turning awareness into action and integration.
