There is a way of breathing

That’s a shame and a suffocation

And there’s another way of expiring,

A love breath,

That lets you open infinitely.

~Rumi

Whether you're reading James Nestor's new book, "Breath", on the Wim Hof train, or sticking with your more traditional yoga books, you're likely hearing a lot about the power of breath these days.

Join me for an experience of deep breath and deep inquiry as we explore the many benefits of breathing well.

This workshop will take an east/west perspective, meeting at the confluence of current science and ancient practices.

In this 90 minute recorded workshop, we'll explore:

  • Lecture, deep inquiry and practice, that opens the doorway to a love breath.

  • Pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation and gentle movement to explore a breath that regulates your nervous system, leaving your feeling less stressed and more calm, less fatigued and more enlivened

  • The anatomy, physiology and neuroscience of breath

  • Your own breathing patterns - where they support you and where they don’t

Details

  • When: This workshop was recorded with a live group. It was an interactive experience and the group conversation will only enhance your own experience as you practice with the replay

  • What to Bring: Props to stay comfortable in longer held poses, pen/journal
