Rachel and Jaclyn's version: finding control at and through your full range of motion
In other words, moving in and out of your full range of a pose with strength and control.
Admit it
Sometimes you put a lot of weight on your hand in triangle because you want a deep stretch but you can't hold yourself up.
Sometimes, you noodle out of the pose and feel just a little funky in your sacrum or low back afterwards.
And sometimes you lock out that front knee instead of softening and drawing your heels towards midline.
Do your triangles ever look like this.....
Exhibit A
Let's find a different way.
Let's find our safest, most expansive and freeing triangle (among other poses) together!
Through instruction, experimentation and playfulness, we'll explore:
The concept of mobility and what it means to move through the full range of a posture "honestly" (in other words - without cheating:)).
How to actually know when you are "cheating" and putting your body at risk.
Where flexibility and strength meet and how to honor and improve both.
The role of breath in the process
And of course, we'll have fun while doing it!
